The Discovery

The Solution
To manage the long dryer vent, we used special long-radius elbows to keep the airflow smooth through the attic turns. We sealed all the joints with top-notch mastic tape for a lasting hold and secured the pipe with heavy-duty metal strapping to make sure it stays put. Concealing the pipe in the wall was achieved without disturbing the cabinetry or making any holes in the drywall, ensuring a clean and seamless finish. We also terminated the end of the pipe to the existing opening in the roof and created an easy-to-connect swivel for any future roof or modern cover upgrades.
The Process
Working in the extra tight attic space, we took great care to protect utilities while carefully lifting the flooring out of the way. We set up the area to ensure safety, making multiple trips up and down through the closet. To reach the roof exit and secure the end of our piping, we created stepping points between the joists, allowing us to work safely at such a steep angle—a climb that truly tested our strength and experience. We also made sure to remove all the trash we created, including the old plastic flex vent, leaving the space clean and tidy.
The Finishing Touches
Behind the dryer, we secured our piping and added a custom backsplash to tidy up the cut drywall. We also cleaned the dryer and installed our popular DryerFlex transition, ensuring maximum airflow and minimal dust issues.
