Reedy Fork Ranch is the big planned community in northeast Greensboro, off Hwy 29 along Reedy Fork Parkway. North Village, South Village, the creek trail, the elementary school right in the neighborhood. They have been building here since 2003 and they are still going. Most of the homes are two-story with vinyl siding. That means a lot of dryer vents high on a wall or up on the roof.

Birds and wasps

We pulled a bird nest out of a dryer vent cover out here. Straw and grass, packed in tight. Then the transition tube off the back of the dryer had more nest in it. The birds had built all the way down the line.

Bathroom soffit vents catch wasps the same way. Those covers are up high and easy to miss. If you see birds or wasps going in and out of a vent, it needs a bathroom bird nest removal and a better cover. We use metal covers and a bird guard that still lets lint out. Up on the roof

The banner photo is a roof vent with its mouth full of lint. The lint had nowhere to go, so it packed in around the opening. A packed cover like that is where the whole line backs up.

Two-story homes out here mean a tall ladder. We carry one that reaches. If your vent is on the second floor or on the roof, it is the same flat rate.

Inside the laundry room

We opened a Whirlpool out here and the lint trap housing was clogged solid. While we were back there the washer water lines were rusting at the connection. We told the homeowner it was close to leaking. That was not what we came for, but you look at everything when the machines are pulled out.
